In July 1997, my mother Dorothy Houston Rubin (Colonel Houston's great-granddaughter) obtained a twenty page typewritten manuscript from the historical museum in Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado. My copy is marked "MS #1:91 84-179-1" and has a handwritten note saying "Written in 1908."
